180402-N-FV739-1090 USNS SACAGAWEA (April 2, 2018) – Lance Cpl. Trevor Wurster, Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18, observes a Lulzbot Taz 6 3D printer assembling a temporary ratchet aboard USNS Sacagawea (T-AKE 2) in support of an additive manufacturing test phase. Personnel from Naval Surface Warfare Center joined forces with Marines from Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18 to test the sea-worthiness, interoperability and innovative potential of the 3D printing assets aboard Sacagawea.
