140402-N-LM312-030 EAST CHINA SEA (April 2, 2014) - Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) 9, assigned to Naval Beach Unit 7, prepares to enter the well deck of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Bonhomme Richard is assigned to Expeditionary Strike Group Seven and is participating in Exercise Ssang Young, an annual combined exercise conducted by Navy and Marine forces with the Republic of Korea in order to strengthen interoperability across the range of military operations.
