Philippine Marine Corps corpsmen demonstrate how to use an improvised stretcher Oct. 12 as part of the bilateral Amphibious Landing Exercise (PHIBLEX) 2013. PHIBLEX is a bilateral training exercise hosted annually in the Republic of the Philippines to enhance interoperability and readiness of Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. Forces. Training exercises like this are critical to maintaining our readiness and improving our forces ability to integrate should there be a humanitarian assistance or disaster relief scenario.
